Tour Series #3 Richland GC Results

Thank you everyone for coming out to the Richland GC for the Tour SEries #3.

Upfront. I failed to record all the winners of CTP Par #3’s and failed to recognize Rick Princinsky for his clear. I apologize for the rookie mistakes.

On the other hand, the weather was great. Beers were cold. And sandwiches were outstanding. Everyone looked healthy and tanned ready for action. Moreover, we reaffirmed that if more kheads show up, we get more out of it.

I appreciate everyone for welcoming our new friend(s) “Big Mike” Donaldson and Andy W-D. Mike tells me he lost 70 lbs so we will have to lose the “Big Mike” moniker.

The conditions of Richland GC was as predicted. Tee to greens were fine. The Sand bunkers were questionable. Jeff and Kwang questioned the sanity of placing pins in the middle of a slope on many number of holes.

The medium speed of the greens caught the 3rd group (Cart with the lowest hcp average) off guard as the group failed to garner not a single birdie within the group. Only Sang Trihn managed to grab one on the missed eagle putt on the 18th.

CTP’s were taken by Greg M, Dick Markle, and ???. Interestingly also NO ONE was able to hit the green on par #3 #(can someone chime in?)?. Shows how good we are.

In the end it was the player with the experience, patience and  a matching short game that mastered Richland. Brian Duffy, with his usual steadiness grabbed the 1st place with a net 75. Bruce played one of  his better round by just missing out the 1st place tie with a net 76. 3rd place was a popular spot with net 77 split by 3 players netting each 3rd place winner with 7 bucks – Dick Markle, Kang Lee, and Sang Trinh. 3rd place finishers were $2 better than the 4th place finisher as it was split between Jerome Lyons and Kwang Yim for a COOL five bucks each with net 78’s.

Clears: There were six clears splitting the prize money of $115 –  Mike D on #2, Andy WD on #4 and on #13. Rick Pricisnski captured #11. Dick Markle grabbed #14. And Sang Trinh captured #18 just missing the putt for an eagle payout by a foot (see the dramatic putt! and others below).

Shot of the Day: Andy’s tee shot on par 3 on #4 landed short of the green. His next pitch hit the pin like Mike Tyson’s upper cut and dunked in for a NBA birdie resulting in net ace.
