Quail Valley Results

Quail Valley offered a break from the scorching heat as the winds of Pennsylvania kicked up and offered a relaxing breeze throughout the day. However the breeze did make some golf shots more perilous.

None of the playing conditions affected Brian Duffy as he scorched the golf course for a gross 78 /  net 66 ( 38 on the front and a 40 on the back ) to capture first place at the third Tour Series event of the year. In second place and newly reinstated from sabbatical leave was Tim League with a net 72. Sneaking into third place low net were both John Braun and Greg Muolo with a net 74.

Bob Ingram lead off the CTPs with a 5 –iron to capture the first CTP on the 153 yard #2 hole but then he shanked his way around the rest of the golf course. Tim League used his trusty 8-iron to capture the CTP on the 160 yard #7 hole. Gill Nichols hit a smooth 7-iron to claim the CTP on the treacherous 134 yard island green #13 hole (shown above). John Braun smoked his 13 degree driver on the 142 yard #17 hole to capture the final CTP.

In the CLEARS section , Gill Nichols started off the round right with a birdie on the 363 yard first hole to claim a CLEAR. Brian Duffy birdied the first par 5 505 yard #4 hole to capture a CLEAR there. John Braun made an excellent up and down on the dog-leg right #8 hole to capture a CLEAR. Brian Duffy started off the second nine with a birdie on the 344 yard #10 hole to get his second CLEAR. Gill Nichols did birdie the 134 yard island green #13 hole to get his second CLEAR. Greg Muolo birdied the 350 yard #14 hole to capture the final CLEAR of the day.
