Kwang and Bob competed in the 42nd VSGA Senior Four Ball Championship qualifier at a difficult and L-O-N-G Laurel Hills GC in Lorton, VA. There were 10 spots available among about 35 teams competing. Some dudes in the field were like VSGA senior champions and USGA senior qualifiers. So the quality of the field was top notch.

Unlike the Perry Cabin competition where Bob and I came dead LAST, even losing to 2 100 year old Leisure World competitors, we competed and competed strongly.

Had couple of breaks gone our way, WE WOULD have qualified. A poor putting from Kwang failed to convert a easy birdie putt and we unnecessarily bogied a tough but manageable par 3 hole. That was the difference. Playoff was among 3 teams who competed for 2 alternate spots. We got beat by a birdie on a second playoff hole and ended up being the second alternate.

Thousand times better than Perry Cabin result. Congratulations!
