Golden Horseshoe Results
The Gold course at the Golden Horseshoe was site of the practice round and was also part of the Knucklehead tour series. The Stableford system was used to determine the place so the net scores do not reflect the standings.
Greg Muolo’s good fortunes continued from last week. Greg Muolo had made a hole-in-one at the Wetlands course last week and was on fire at the Golden Horseshoe. Greg had only one hole where he incurred a double bogey or worse throughout the whole round shooting a 42 on the front nine and a 44 on the back nine to finish in first place with the best point totals. Greg is pictured above with another hole-in-one player Kingsmill member Mike who fortunately bought beers for the gang.
Joe Hirsch irons were equally on fire as he was unfazed by the peninsula greens on the par 3’s. Joe claimed the CTP on hole #7 for a birdie and hole #12 for birdie which both ended up being CLEARS for him. The other CTPs were taken by Gill Nichols on hole #3 and Alan Burke on hole #16. Bruce Grau finished strong as he grabbed two CLEARs on the back nine as he made pars on the difficult par 4 hole #14 & the down hill over water par 3 #16.
