Tour series numero five for the Knuckleheads will be at the ever challenging Royal Manchester Links on Saturday August 20.
Located just off the banks of the Susquehanna River and tucked in the rolling hills of northern York County, lies Royal Manchester Golf Links. This par 72 championship links-style layout sends you to the coast of the British Isles and its famous seaside courses while never leaving your backyard. Royal Manchester Golf Links is an award-winning Links style golf course with unparalleled views of the York County countryside.
Royal Manchester course contains probably the best two finishing holes in the area. #9 hole is a reachable par 5 after a good drive. But with a thin green fronted by a creek and a drastic drop off the back side, the optimal play might be to setup a good angle into the green with a wedge. #18 hole green is fronted by a pond so the iron play must be spot on to deliver a par on this hole.
The course should be in top-notch form as they are holding their Club Championship that morning. So please be cognizant of additional players lingering around the clubhouse. Also try not to overshoot the 18th green and land the ball in the clubhouse.
Tee times start at 12:06. Cost is $60 for greens fees; add $15 for low net, CLEARs, and CTPs.
