I have been checking some premier courses and looking for some breaks but still finding rates extremely high --  Musket Ridge$100 at noon, Maryland national $105 @ noon, Lake Presidential @ $115 at noon (give me a break).  PB Dye was more reasonable with rates at $85 at noon.  Located in suburbia of Frederick County, this golf course is a unique design of Pete Dye’s son PB Dye.

The website indicates “Be prepared to use every club in your bag said the world-famous architect P.B.Dye after finishing one of Maryland’s finest golf courses. A course so good that P.B. decided to put his name on his masterpiece. Along with every club in the bag, you’ll need to play virtually every shot in the book. It’s vintage P.B. Dye, with a flair for the extravagant.  No matter how many times you play our course, it’ll continually reward you with fun, challenging golf. The Club at P.B. Dye has been selected by Golf Digest as one of the toughest courses in America. Our course is also among the 15 best courses in Maryland. With Sugarloaf Mountain looming as its backdrop, our beautifully crafted and manicured golf course will capture both your imagination and your competitive spirit.”

Many challenges await as one needs to jump ravines and stay away from small water hazards. Let's see if your nerves can handle the shots bordered by water such as the short par-3 #11 hole as shown above.

Tee times start at noon for Saturday August 21.

Greens fees are $85; add $15 for low-net, CLEARs, and CTPs.

There are 15 people coming.

Look who's coming: Greg m, KYim, Uncle Bruce, Brian Duffy , Bob Ingram, Greg Sadowski , Dick Markle, Jerome, Andy WD, Jeffrey Gruel, Gill, Brian Murphy, Michael Jan, John Hassett, John Braun
