The Knucklehead course committee apologizes for lateness in selecting a venue. Several courses had outings already booked on May 11 like Bridges and Quail Valley. Other courses like Royal Manchester had aerated just recently. So we were in a scrambled mode and turned attention was turned to Baltimore County courses like Woodlands and Greystone but earliest tee times were around 2 pm.
At the end Rocky Point golf course in Essex MD had better price and tee time availability. Rocky Point has many water hazards throughout the course as it is a peninsula saddled by the Back River as shown by par 3 #4 hole above. Par at Rocky Point is set at 72, with a fairly open front nine and a back nine that is more tree lined and high-lighted by the three par 5’s. Greens are large and inviting with strategically placed bunkers.
Starting after 12 pm we get the reduced rate of $65. For those that have the Baltimore County Advantage Card you get an additional $10 break.
Add $15 for overall low-net, closest to the pin, and CLEARS (which are basically SKINS for the ONLY low net score on each hole) . Tour series fees of $30 are required BEFORE YOUR third event. Tour series is contest for overall points throughout the year of YOUR BEST FOUR events. FINALE event (usually late October / early November) will again be worth double the points.

NOTE - - If you live in a bubble and are unaware the Key Bridge on route 695 is inoperable. So allow for additional travel time and might need to use the 895 tunnel.
