Carroll Valley results

The temperatures were mild and there was a hint of rain. Lucky for use the rain stayed cleared of the golf course. Seemed that the course maintnenance crew took a break during the covid period as the fairway was a bit hairy. Nonetheless the course setup was fair & equitable to all. Poor tree near the creek on the first hole got quite the beating from several players.

Gary Boukis complained all day long about the length of the course of just over 6300 yards.  But he is the only one that shot even net par as he shot a smooth 87 for a net 71 to grab first place. Bruce Grau and Bob Ingram were a distant second place with net 75s. Finishing in fourth was Brian Murphy with a net 75 who did manage to par the difficult opening par 5 hole.

We had 5 CTPs and the winners were – Gill Nichols on hole #3 and #11, Brian Duffy on hole #5, and Bob Ingram on hole #8 and #18.

Rick Princinsky gobbled up two CLEARS on holes #5 & #6, Brian Duffy had a CLEAR on hole #2, Brian Murphy gathered three CLEARS on holes #1, #10, and #15, and Gary Boukis added to his riches by getting a CLEAR on hole #17, and Greg Muolo captured the final clear on hole #18 with a nice par.

The after round dinner was spent at Ott’s restaurant which is dedicated to firefighters across the country. Afterwards the people of Emmitsburg were so pleased that the Knucklehead Tour was restarted that they provided fireworks display at the local park.
