Bridges Results

The Bridges course added some bite to its layout as the greens were speedy throughout the day and according to some golfers the greens even got faster towards the end of the afternoon. Greg Muolo and Jerome Lyons seemed unfazed by the speedy greens as they both finished at -1 to share first place honors. Jerome Lyons bombed in a 40 footer at the 18th hole to salvage a par to complete his low round. Greg Muolo dialed in his irons early such as hitting his 8-iron to within 15 feet on the 160 yard #4 hole.

Finishing two strokes behind the leaders were Kwang Yim and Bruce Grau each finishing at net 73. Kwang Yim made a nice birdie on the uphill 453 yard par 5 #5 hole. Bruce Grau gathered two clears on the back side, one on #12 hole and another with a birdie on the uphill 311 yard #14 hole.

In addition to capturing a CTP and a clear on the #4 hole, Greg Muolo also parred the difficult 420-yard par 4 #9 hole for his second clear. Dick Markle started off hot by birding the first hole for a clear and capturing a CTP with his 6-iron on the #11 hole but cooled off as he was stumped by the speedy greens. Bob Ingram captured a clear on the 385 yard straightaway par 4 #3 hole but could not straighten out his driver through the remaining holes. Capturing the other two CTPs were Michael Jan on #7 hole and on the downhill 161 yard #16 hole with his 8-iron. In fact the #16 hole also offered adventures to Bruce Grau who dumped his ball in the high grass of the tee. Bob Ingram snickered at Bruce’s predicament only to find himself against the very same weeds as he dribbled his tee shot. But willing to take a drop and play a safe shot, Bob decided to whack the ball and weeds towards the green and ultimately salvaged a bogey.
