The weather at Bridges was fantastic. Sunny but cool; breezy but not windy. Even though the wood structure for the bridges may be getting a bit old & crunchy, the different type of bridges that had to be traversed made the round go by quickly.   Plenty of time left over to enjoy the long serving line at the Bridges restaurant of Green Horizon.

Bob Ingram parred the difficult par 4 #9 hole in route to a 38 on the front nine to shoot a 77 net 69.  In addition Brian Duffy birdied both par 5’s on the back nine and the roller-coaster #14 par 4 hole to comeback and tie Bob Ingram’s net 69 to share first place prize. Dick Markle shot a steady 86 net 73 as it was his first time on the course to capture third place. Just out of the money was Gill Nichols with a net 74.

Bob Ingram garnered both par 3’s CTPs. Jeff Gruel started the round off on fire as he captured two CLEARS on holes # 3 & 4 then fizzled at the end. Brian Murphy & Greg Muleo each picked up a CLEAR on the par 3’s on the back nine with excellent pars. Bob Ingram captured a CLEAR with the par on hole #9.  Brian Duffy also picked up a CLEAR with his birdie on hole #14 and another CLEAR with a birdie on the finishing par 5 hole #18.

Time was well spent on the deck outside the Green Horizon after the round. Good meals was had by all after a somewhat delay in the food preparation. Social distancing was observed by all as the groups sat at separated tables.  Bruce Grau was shorted a couple of shrimp but who orders seafood when you are in middle of central Pa.
