Links at Gettysburg Results

A beautiful day with low humidity greeted the Knucklehead golfers as they battled the course at the Links at Gettysburg. Rick Princinsky took full advantage of the calm conditions in route to first place with a solid score of 92 net 70. Bob Ingram finished a stroke behind with a net 71. Michael Jan birdied three holes in route to a net 73 for third place.  And rounding out the top four was Brian Murphy with a net 74.

With the rain from the previous night making the greens a bit softer, iron play had to be precise to capture the CTP prize. Michael Jan captured the first two CTPs on hole #3 and hole #6 using a 9-iron for each. Rick “Dickpin” Princinsky hit a solid 5 hybrid on the #12 green surrounded by water. Bob Ingram used a 5 iron to capture the last CTP on hole #15.

Rick Princinsky started the CLEAR bandwagon with a solid par on the difficult par 4 #2 hole. Michael Jan captured two CLEARs with a birdie on #3 hole and a birdie on the par 5 #14 hole. Andy Weston-Dawkes garnered a CLEAR on the monster par 5 #7 hole avoiding all of the trouble along the way. Brian Pulaski also avoided trouble on the short but diabolical dog-leg right par 4 #11 hole to claim his CLEAR. Brian Murphy had a solid back nine and captured two CLEARs  on the par 3 #12 hole and the par 3 #15 hole before folding like a wooden chair on the final #18 par 5 hole (pictured above) with a big number – like around 14.

Thanks again for keeping the language to a dull roar especially around the wedding party.  We didn’t want to be the ones accused of spoiling their day.
