Queenstown Lakes Results
After a rain deluge in the area on Thursday, the conditions of the Queenstown Lakes course was a bit soggy. However, after avoiding a brief shower at beginning of the round, the overall conditions were workable for an early April outing.
Dick Markle was able to avoid the tall grass and putted magnificently over the somewhat aerated greens in route to first place with a score of 86 for a net 72. Close on his tail was Bob Ingram with a net 73 just one shot off the lead. Rounding up third place were Greg Muolo with his new swing and Brian Duffy with his laser irons both shooting a net 77.
Dick Markle captured three CLEARS with pars at holes #8 and 39 and the par 5 #12. Brian Duffy captured two CLEARS with a birdie on #2 and a par at #7. Bob Ingram captured a CLEAR on hole #5 with a par, and Greg Muolo captured a CLEAR with a par at the opening hole. Brian Duffy lasered a 6 iron to first par three #3 to get that CTP and Kwang Yim captured the CTP on #11 with an 8-iron.
As this was the first Tour series round of the year there are a few wrinkles to iron out such as getting proper email address for Brian Pulaski and making sure all cars have a useable spare tire as in Jerome Lyons case. But the group wouldn’t be called Knuckleheads if everything went smoothly.
Below are the results.
