The winds picked up at Barton Creek making the Crenshaw Cliffside course conditions more difficult for scoring.
Joe Hirsch was able to start off very nicely with a clear on the par 5 2nd hole with a par and then followed it up with a birdie on the downhill #14 hole. Joe used his hybrids excellently as he used his 2-hybrid on #5 hole and his 4-hybrid on #11 hole to capture both CTPs. At the end Joe shot 85 for the round ending up with EVEN in the stableford points. Off by one point was Greg Sadowski as he drained 2 putts for birdies at the first hole then the #12 par 5 hole to finish at -1 for the day.

Alan Burke finished third for the second consecutive day by scrambling for par on the par 3s of #11 and #13 grabbing the clears too. Gill Nichols made a nice rebound by parring the difficult par 4 10th hole for a clear. Bob Ingram hit a knockdown 7-iron on the windy 135 yard 17th hole to capture the final CTP.

Bruce Grau captured a CTP on #8 hole using his 5 rescue club. Brian Duffy avoided the dreaded dribbles off the tee box by swinging easier.

On the comical side of golf Alan Burke used a driver off the deck from the rough on #4 hole. The.ball went through a tree and as the ball was rolling towards the green a six-point buck ran across the fairway. The golf ball rolled right under the buck and finished 20 yards from the green.

Top three leaders are;
Greg Sadowski -3
Joe Hirsch -4
Gary Boukis -6
