Heritage Hills Results

Knuckleheads traveled to York Pa to play the Heritage Hills golf course and visit their infamous Ale House patio.  The turnout for the tour series event was great given the covid scare and the approaching Hurricane Laura.  In fact after a few showers over the first 4 holes the weather ended up being sunny and low 80 degrees as indicated from the photo of Gill Nichols & Bob Ingram on the #7 tee box which was taken by the lovely cart lady Amy.

Gary Boukis (pictured in feature image) started off shaky in the first couple of holes as he yanked his layup shot way left out-of-bounds on the par 5 hole #2. He then dribbled his tee shot down the cart path on the par 3 #8 hole 40 yards past the green. He played steady golf the rest of the way and played the closing four holes which are very challenging at one over par in route to shooting an 85 for a net 71 to capture first place. Brian Duffy was able to birdie the 160 yard #8 par 3 hole to shoot a respectable net 74.  Bob Ingram bounced his approach shot off the rocks over the green on #18 closing par 4 hole for a closing bogey to tie Brian for second place. Coming in fourth and just out of the money places was Greg Muolo with a net 77.

For the CTPs, Bob Ingram rolled his tee shot back on the downhill #5 155 yard par 3 hole to capture that CTP. Greg Sadowski mastered the long 175 yard #12 hole to capture the second CTP. Brian Duffy was credited with a CLEAR for his birdie on the par 3 #8 hole, Brian Murphy snuck a CLEAR on the par 4 #10 hole, and Jerome Lyons parred holes #12 and #13 to garner his  two CLEARS.

After the golf round the crew had a meal at the infamous Ale House grill. Abiding by the Pennsylvania alcohol regulations, each person had to have at least one food item on their bar tab before they were served beer/alcohol. Some people opted to order a small fries to accompany their 3 beers. The food was so delicious at the Ale House grill that John Hassett decided to eat Marty Sadowski’s meal along with his own. Afterwards Heritage Hills was so pleased to have the Knucklehead Tour at their place that they set off fireworks for us & the local wedding party.
