Tour series events #3 — Royal Manchester results
A beautiful hazy summer day at Royal Manchester was only interrupted by a 20 minute cloud burst of rain. However, the greens and fairways held up very nicely to allow us to continue to play. All players were able to handle the treacherous Royal Manchester greens as each person shot in the net 70s (except Brian Murphy who was close with a net 80).
The interruption and change in playing conditions did not faze Brian Duffy as he mastered the course in shooting a net 72. On his heels were Jerome Lyons and Tim Rice both with a nice front nine score and a net 74. Jerome was four over par through the first 8 holes while Tim Rice shot a one under for the front nine. Only one stroke out of the prize money were John Hassett and Greg Muolo with a net 75.
The CLEARS were split amongst 5 people; Greg Muolo, Bruce Grau, Tim Rice, Blair Laubach, and Brian Murphy. Bruce Grau captured the short #6 hole CTP while Bob Ingram captured the second CTP on hole #11.
